Situated in the heart of old Matanzas, these two apartments are housed in a two-storey building overlooking the river flowing out to the Bay of Matanzas. The two private apartments can be rented individually, or as one larger space since there are connecting doors on the main floor and upper floor. Casa Rio, has two balconies, with one overlooking the river. Casa Luna has an open-concept main floor, and private access to a large rooftop patio. Hosted by a local Cuban and his British-Canadian wife, these well maintained properties are spacious and clean with brand-new fixtures. Renting a CasaCuba apartment is the best way to experience authentic Cuban life, with both comfort and privacy.
This bright and beautiful 2-bedroom apartment is newly renovated with Canadian materials and has everything you need for an extended holiday. The spacious apartment has a fully equipped eat-in kitchen to enable you to cook your own meals, if you choose. Or you can try one of the many restaurants/bars within a block.

I stayed at Casa Luna in July 2022 and I can't say enough about the accommodations and the excellent service. The casa itself is beautiful - very spacious, a great place for families and groups, but I also used it as a meeting place for conversations with local artists. Mayo and Carlos provided the best service and lots of laughs as well. The breakfasts were great, especially the fruit juices made fresh everyday, and I really felt well taken care of during my entire stay. For me, the location is probably the #1 feature - Calle Río is one of the most historic and interesting streets in the city. The entrance to Plaza de la Vigía (the original colonial plaza of Matanzas) is right there, as is the walkway down to Calle Narváez where you can find artists studios, cafés, bars and restaurants - and the city's own Malecón. And I have to mention the rooftop terrace, where you'll have one of the best views over most of the city - it's breathtaking at night especially. Thanks so much to Team CasaCuba - I'll be back for sure!
